Five years in the making, the Sleaford branch celebrated a historic achievement this weekend with the assembly of the first of two containment hoses for a valued customer. This groundbreaking project, unprecedented in the UK, involved the assembly, swaging, and testing of 85 meters of 3″ NB hose inside a 5″ NB hose.
Not only are we constructing a hose of great length, but extraordinary capability, ready for even the most extreme application. This assembly is constructed with a hose-in-a-hose structure, requiring a custom made fitting and expert swaging. But why assemble it this way?

Each step of the meticulous process underwent rigorous scrutiny, with checks performed, double-checked, and triple-checked before final approval by three signatories – Kiowa, our customer, and the end user. The scale of the project was immense, with the hose spanning from unit 1 through unit 2 and extending into unit 3, and beyond our warehouse to outside, a testament to the dedication and expertise of the Kiowa team.
